Join Love Without Martinis Team

Philadephia, PA

September is National Recovery Month which means it is time to walk to show your support for people who are in recovery and celebrate your journey if you are in recovery. The walk in Philadelphia draws 28,000 people. It is both a celebration of the joy of recovery and a way to raise awareness. You do not need to be in recovery or even know someone in recovery, many people walk because they have been affected by addiction or simply want to encourage other to lead healthy lives. So lace up your shoes and join our Love Without Martinis team. If you are wondering about the name of the team, it’s the title to my upcoming book. We will be gathering at 8:00 AM near Penn’s Landing where Bill and I will offer coffee, tea and donuts to get you ready. We will have a Team t-shirt, so as soon as you confirm your participation, I will need to know your size. Our team is already registered so you do not need to do so yourself. We hope to be between 15 and 20 people. Feel free to invite some friends along. If you are a person in long term recovery with 10 years or more, you will be part of the honor guard and be given a purple sash to wear. So please let me know as I need to inform the organizers of how many sashes our team will need. This is a fun walk through historical Philadelphia. ProAct has not yet announced the course but it is generally varies from 1.5 to 2 miles. I will keep you updated. Please confirm your participation with either Bill or I to make sure we have a T-shirt for you. We would appreciate knowing as soon as possible or no later than September 3, 2019.

Thank you for supporting people in recovery.
