You are doing something at this moment that at least 774 million people cannot do – read. I am doing something that the same number of people in the world cannot do – write. How could there be a more pressing matter to attend to than illiteracy?

Inspire our Youth to Dream in 2016.

With the year drawing to a close, we are bombarded on social media with introspection of 2015, resolutions for 2016 and best wishes from friends and strangers alike.

My husband and I have returned from a trip to New York City. The main purpose of the visit was to take Top (whose full name is Sukrit Ratanadachasakoo) to visit the United Nations. Top is a twenty year old university student from Bangkok, Thailand, who we have sponsored to travel to the USA for one month.  We offered him the trip to motivate him to excel in his studies and to broaden his horizons. How Much is a Person’s Drive Determined by Education?

What makes a person strive, push and reach higher, has always been a mystery to me.  The moment in which a person touches their limit and they know all of a sudden than they can go just a little further. That is sheer human beauty. My throat tightens and my inner voice shouts “YES!”  My reaction is so visceral that it still surprises me.
