Please join us as Payot Libraire – Rive Gauche hosts Canadian author Chantal Jauvin for a book signing of “The Boy with a Bamboo Heart” published by Maverick House. The book was named Book of the Lunar Year 2016 and placed as finalist for the Next Generation Indie Book Awards.

This bilingual event is open to the public, so please bring a friend. No tickets are required.

Copies of the book, both the original English edition and the newly translated French edition will be available for sale. All author proceeds are being donated to the FORDEC charity.

About Dr. Amporn Wathanavongs: He is the current CEO and founder of FORDEC (Foundation for the Rehabilitation and Development of Children and Family). He is also the former National Director of the Christian Children’s Fund. Dr. Amporn works relentlessly to educate Thai children and help their families. He received the Order of the Crown of Thailand in 1996 in recognition of his work.

About Chantal Jauvin: Chantal is an international attorney. She has travelled extensively throughout her life with an aim of building an international career. She has lived in Japan, Cambodia, Russia, the U.S., and Austria, taking shorter assignments in Vietnam and pursued her MBA studies in the UK. She negotiated in Paris, Buenos Aires, and Sao Paulo often enough to almost call these cities home. She has addressed the Central Banks of Spain and South Africa, worked with companies from Ghana to Uzbekistan, and mentored attorneys from Dubai to Mumbai. Chantal and her husband, William Thomas, reside in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA).
