Ottawa Book Signing for “The Boy with A Bamboo Heart” And For the First Time “L’Enfant Au Coeur de Bambou”.
“A riveting, wrenching and inspiring account of a life’s journey. Dr. Amporn’s remarkable story is not about childhood survival or war-time battles, rather a life-long struggle to defeat his demons and transform his fate.” Nelson Rand, author and journalist.
Please join us as Ottawa native and author Chantal Jauvin presents her book “The Boy with a Bamboo Heart” published by Maverick House. The book was named Book of the Lunar Year 2016 and placed as finalist for the Next Generation Indie Book Awards.
This bilingual event is open to the public, so please bring a friend. No tickets are required.
Copies of the book, both the original English edition and the newly translated French edition will be available for sale. All author proceeds are being donated to the FORDEC charity.

This event will be the fifth event in a series of Book Salons which was launched in 2016. These smaller more intimate events are intended to foster more in-depth conversations about the book, its themes and the FORDEC charity.
Should you be interested in attending such an event, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that for this event you must first register as part of the Philly Book Club Meetup.
Copies of the book will be available for sale at the Book Salons. All author proceeds are being donated to the FORDEC charity.
Thank you to the hosts for their generosity in holding these events.
